Tribute to Hazel Butterworth, 1943 - 2022

Treasured memories of a life-long friend the beautiful, vivacious, energetic, fun-loving Hazel. Over five decades ago Hazel breezed flamboyantly into my life and has since been a stalwart friend, always caring and thoughtful, giving more than she received and stepping up to the mark in times of crisis. She had a unique ability to make everyone feel special and she would always see the positive in any situation even laughing when the laugh was on herself. I will forever cherish happy memories of beach days with our young families, remember the simple house parties of the 70’s through to the more elaborate milestone birthday celebrations and family weddings when instinctively Hazel was the life and soul of the gathering. The untimely passing of my dear friend has left a gaping hole in my heart yet I feel privileged that Hazel brought her own particular ray of sunshine into my life. Good night Hazel, God bless.
